Musings and Mutterings

Back when I was putting out paper auction catalogs, the number of pages had to be a multiple of 4, and I would occasionally have a page that would work out to be blank.   I am a pretty dedicated cheap-skate.  So, since I was paying for that paper and the plate that would be half wasted if used to print just the page on the other half of the sheet, I was determined not to let that page stay blank.  This led me to write "homilies" that ranged from things such as optimal bidding strategies to the likely demise of the stamp-show-as-we-knew-it -- basically, on anything that interested me.

Now that I no longer have empty pages goading me into action, the homilies are fewer and father between.  Still, every now and then something will move me to write one, and here's where they'll show up.
