Covers offered below are not scanned as at any given time I may have from none to dozens of any given listing.  If you see something that interests you, e-mail me about it and I will send you a scan of the best example that I have at the time.  We can then go forward from there, or not, depending on whether you like what you see.  NOTE:  The minimum order/scan request that I will fill from the APO lists is $15, plus postage and (private) insurance of minimum $1.

The Basic Cover (or, occasionally, postcard) will be: 

clean and sound (back faults possible but unlikely -- ask if it makes a difference to you)

sent as free first class mail, or by airmail using the 6c. Transport stamp or a 6c. airmail postal stationery entire, to the US

sent by a member of the US armed forces (or, occasionally, an APO-eligible civilian) between 12/7/41 and 9/2/45

Pricing

The basic cover will be sold at the price shown in the table except that  for covers from France, Germany, Italy and the BENELUX countries after June 1, 1945, the basic cover price will be 60% of the price shown in the table.

Covers with special features may be available at increased prices, starting at twice the basic cover price --  because they are either more in demand, are scarcer, and/or will involve more work in searching (quite often, I fear, with negative result, but ask anyway).  These special features include, for example:

combat air units (these tend to be from rather common APOs but for which there is greater demand and lesser supply)

specific town locations for the mobile APOs (e.g., APO 1 used from Hof, Germany, rather than from anywhere in Germany)

non-standard frankings (e.g., Prexies and commemoratives, postage due stamps)

patriotic envelopes

addressed to points outside the US

sent by non-US personnel.

Special feature items may or may not be available at any given time -- all you can do is ask and I'll check for you.

The APO number in the listing is that in

the cancel, if a number appears there, except where the return address indicates a branch or sub-unit (e.g., APO 709-1); where there is a sub-unit indicated in the cancel itself, it will be followed by an * in the listing (e.g. 574A*)

the return address where there is no APO number in the cancel or where the return address, but not the cancel, contains a branch/sub-unit designation.
